Xecute to Launch High School Lacrosse Invitational 5/2/08 Xecute Consulting Partners today announced the launch of a statewide lacrosse invitational that will showcase top boys and girls’ high school lacrosse players. With 4 games over two days, the event consists of both boys and girls senior all-star games and boys and girls rising seniors invitational games. Players for the games will be chosen by a unique Selection Committee, consisting of sports writers, high school coaches, referees, and athletic association representatives. With almost 50 schools playing both boys and girls lacrosse in the burgeoning Georgia lacrosse community, the teams in the event promise to be exciting to watch. While a relatively new sport for the state, the roots for the sport have deep connection to the traditional programs of the northeast in its coaches, many of whom came through powerhouse lacrosse programs such as Princeton University. The founding of the programs began with the Darlington School in Rome GA in 1990, followed by Atlanta metro founders Westminster, Woodward Academy, Lovett, and Centennial High School. Today, lacrosse has become a hugely popular spring sport in most Atlanta area high schools, and it is befitting for the programs and the players to be commemorated in an annual celebration of the promising future of the sport in the area. See www.georgialacrosseclassic.com for more information. The public is invited to Lassiter High School in Marietta GA, on May 31,
and June 1, 2008 for the evening games, with the entry fee at the gate of
$10 per day. Coaches are invited to participate in the College Recruiting
Fair on May 31 and the NCAA Division 1 Coaching Clinic on June 1. For more information about Xecute Consulting Partners, go to
